(freshrant.com) The evolution the handling, or lack thereof, of Rupert Murdoch’s News Corp scandal has been a fascinating circus to watch.
Since Murdoch’s version of a free press excludes all interviews excepting those from his own media empire, scene one opens with Murdoch at an Idaho retreat, blissfully removed from the brouhaha across the pond when news of the phone hacking story first broke in the summer of 2009. As is his reputation, Murdoch is not shy about telling his reporters how to conduct their pretend interviews. Here Murdoch laughably barks at one-time respected CNN business reporter, Stewart Varney, now just another FOX business channel toady, not even able to get the first question out of his sycophantic mouth. “No worries, Mr. Chairman, that’s fine with me. That’s alright, sir.”
Just a quick trip back on memory lane to see how vociferous FOX News and Chief of Police Bill O’Reilly was when Sarah Palin’s email was hacked.
Next we have another LOL moment when not one of the pathetic members of the FOX at FIVE Glenn Beck replacement show dare make mention of the Murdoch scandal. It was agreed they wouldn’t touch it “with a ten foot Durbin (turbin?).” They’re FOX News Republicans…you figure it out. This piece of glorious video was caught on the feed during a commercial break.
Alright boys and girls. Can you say, “obfuscation?” FOX and Friends hack, Steve Doocy, plays kitten ball with a Mr. Bob Dilenschenieder, whose background involves managing public relation disasters. I guess The Dilenschenieder Way is to pretend that the Murdock hacking scandal is equivalent to the Pentagon hacking scandal and others where we should turn our focus. What these two slicksters are doing is pretending the Pentagon and other victims of large hacking scandals are equal to Murdoch as the hacking perpetrator. Watch these two con men posing as news commentators play the bait and switch on their loyal but duped FOX news audience.
Investigation launched into phone hacking of 9/11 victims after it was confirmed that phones of 7/07 London bombing victims were hacked.
But Mr. 9/11, Rudy Guiliani AND FOX News paid consultant, is not so tough in defending 9/11 victims when it comes to allegations about his billionaire benefactor.
Rachel Maddow provides an overview of hacking revelations.
Murdoch being served his just dessert.
